Easter Musical (March-April)

Through music and drama, the story of Jesus, His adult life, His passion and death, and His glorious resurrection are brought to life. Parishioners of all ages are able to participate in this presentation, utilizing talents on stage or behind the scenes. This event is usually held on the weekend prior to Palm Sunday, with preparations and rehearsals beginning in January. Anyone who is interested in becoming involved in this musical should check the bulletin or website for announcements concerning sign-ups and auditions.

Parish Christmas Musical (December)

Members of the St. Brigid Community team up to produce musicals based upon the Christmas story, utilizing talents in acting, music, dance, and all the work needed behind the scenes. This special presentation helps the community to focus on “the reason for the season” and to work together in a very unique and enjoyable way. The Christmas musical is held on the first weekend in December, with preparations beginning in late summer. Those who are interested in participating in this event should watch the parish bulletin or website for announcements concerning sign-ups and auditions for roles.

Children’s Christmas Eve Musical (December)

One of the delights of Christmas Eve is the special musical put on by children of our faith community just before the Children’s Christmas Eve Vigil Mass. Speaking and non-speaking roles, as well as songs sung by soloists and the Children’s Choir bring forth messages that people of all ages need to hear at Christmas. Sign-ups are in October, with rehearsals for acting roles taking place on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

Onstage talent and behind-the-scenes support personnel sign-ups for this year’s Christmas Musical will be taking place after all Masses on the weekends of July 20/21 and 27/28. Our St. Brigid Performing Arts Ministry has many costumes and accessories which are used for plays and even by other parish ministries when they are needed. Over the summer months, it would be great to have help in repairing, organizing, and cataloguing all of these items.
