Laudato Si’

Welcome to the Laudato Si’ Ministry

Inspired by Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’, we are embarking on a new journey to build a ministry dedicated to ecological stewardship and faith-driven action. As a ministry in its formative stages, we are laying the foundation for a community committed to caring for our common home through education, advocacy, and sustainable initiatives.

We invite all who share a passion for environmental justice and creation care to help shape this ministry, bringing ideas, energy, and faith into our shared mission. Together, we will grow, learn, and take meaningful steps toward a more just and sustainable world.
Mission Statement:  The Laudato Si’ Movement’s mission is to inspire and mobilize the Catholic community to care for the Earth and achieve climate and ecological justice.

Laudato Si': Goals & Resources for Care of Our Common Home

WEEKEND REFLECTION

MARCH 28/29

As we celebrate Palm Sunday and remember Jesus’ humble entry into Jerusalem, we are invited to embrace a spirit of gentle simplicity. In Laudato Si’, Pope Francis reminds us that “less is more.” This Holy Week, may we follow Christ by choosing lives that are lighter, quieter, and more mindful of God’s creation.

By choosing one small way to live more simply—reducing a purchase, limiting waste, or giving something away—we allow that choice to become a gesture of solidarity with our wounded planet and with those who struggle the most. In these humble acts, we walk with Christ and help restore hope where it is needed most.

If you are interested in joining the Laudato Si’ ministry, a ministry focused on care for creation, please contact Mary (Ginger) Jackson at 210-710-8207.
